Here is what the beer looked like before we moved it into carboy #2:

It has been settling for 2 days now, you can really see how it separated. This is pretty accurate in color. Its dark and there are a lot of chunks in it. You need to set this up on a table so its higher than your other carboy, so gravity helps pull the beer down. I bought 8' of hose to connect to my siphon. Stick the siphon in the 1st carboy and the hose in the 2nd. Make sure the hose in the 2nd is resting on the bottom of it so you don't get excess air mixed into the beer. 2 small pumps and it takes off. Took about 15 mins. to drain the whole thing. The carboys are curved upwards in the center, rest the bottom of the siphon there. This way most of the chunks don't get drained through, plus the siphon has a filter on it.

Here is the empty one, it still had about a half of a gallon in it of straight chunk stuff.

Here is the beer in the new carboy, ready to wait 7+ days until it gets put into the Keg.

As you can see, there is a big color difference between the two. Its now lighter and slightly more clearer then it was before. It will get refined a little more when it gets moved into the keg as well. The beer will continue to ferment until its put on pressure. I am thinking that I will transfer it on next saturday, so that will give it 10 days. I just want to drink the damn stuff! We finished the bud light keg last night so I just have to get some stuff straightened out w/the kegorator and we are golden.
